1998 Monterey 180 M-Series Bowrider powered by a 4.3L 190hp V6 Mercruiser engine with an Alpha One sterndrive leg.
Built in the USA, Monterey Boats are famous for their sleek and stylish pose and graceful sporty lines. From the factory the 180 M-Series originally came with the smaller 3.0L 4-cyl 135hp Mercruiser engine. This boat however has been upgraded and re-powered with a later model 2005 4.3L V6 190hp Mercruiser engine, making it now a more powerful but still nimble and responsive bowrider. With the V6 power upgrade it is recognised as a great boat for both watersports activities as well as family cruising. It jumps quickly out of the hole, achieving a top speed of 88km/h at 50000rpm and a cruise speed of 60km/h at 3500rpm – very impressive figures indeed.
This boat performs very admirably, turning sharply and quickly and is very responsive at the helm and slips through the water beautifully when on the plane and in tight turns. Skiers and wakeboarders alike will love the way this boat performs. Fitted with a ‘Wanted Wake’ collapsible wakeboard tower and board racks, this boat is now suitable for either the cruising family or those looking at watersports activities. It is perfect for family boating days out cruising your favourite waterway, whilst at the same time capable of pulling out 2 x barefooters, skiers or wakeboarders from a deep water start with ease.
This is a ‘turn-key’ boat which has had predominantly freshwater use, and with all maintenance up to date, is ready to hit the water any time. In fact, the engine has just recently undergone a rebuild, and is now showing only 22 hours of operation since the rebuild. The boat itself presents in good condition with recent improvements including new EVA flooring and a bluetooth stereo system.
Both the vessel and trailer have NSW registration until December and August 2024 respectively.
