1982 Merlin Mirage Deluxe 17’ ski boat powered by a 5.0L 308cui 240hp V8 GM Holden centremount inboard engine with a dog-clutch drive.
With true Aussie heritage the Merlin Mirage ski boats were built by the Waldron & Oakley families in the 1970’s through to the mid 1980’s in Victoria and featured Holden 6-cyl and v8 engines in a Clinker-style ski hull design that they had purchased from the Merlin Fibreglass Company.
This boat has only had three (3) owners in it’s entire life and has only ever been used in freshwater. The fibreglass topside of the hull features white pearl paint which glistens and shows blue fleck in differing angles of the sun. The interior has been recently refurbished in Ford BA-BF velour upholstery. The last full service was carried out in October 2021 including replacement of the water pump impeller and carburetor tuning.
For those learning the art, this is a great entry level ski boat which won’t break the bank in the process.
Both the vessel and trailer are NSW registered until June 2023.
